April 3, 4, 5, 2017 – 7:30 PM

St. Ferdinand Church, Cranberry Township, invites you to our church April 3, 4, and 5, 2017 at 7:30 pm to attend three very special services with speaker Anne Kertz Kernion as she discusses and explores the practices of Gratitude, Silence, and Compassion through the lenses of the Catholic tradition and modern neuroscience.

Catholicism has a rich history of contemplative teachings and practices that were lost to us for centuries, but are gaining more and more interest in our modern, fast-pasted world.

In the past few decades, there has been an explosion of interest in these practices from neuroscientists, who study them for their physical and psychological benefits. (Benefits that include stress reduction, strengthened immune systems, blood pressure regulation, heart and brain health, and even the maintenance of our cellular DNA which affects aging!) So these lessons are especially relevant and sorely needed for our spiritual journeys, both body and soul.

“There are simple ways to bring moments
of mindfulness and calm into our daily lives.”

During the three nights, we will look at the Catholic contemplative teachers, including saints, monks, religious, and lay men and women. We’ll also discuss the latest findings in neuroscience that confirm our tradition’s wisdom: that bringing Gratitude, Silence, and Compassion to our days will lead us to deeply fulfilling Christian lives … lives that are able to shine brightly in our world, a world that needs our lights now more than ever.

There are simple ways to bring moments of mindfulness and calm into our daily lives, practices that bring us closer to God, yet won’t add another item to your “to-do” list. And who doesn’t want to be more aware of God’s presence and love in our lives?

So come join us, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, April 3, 4, and 5 on this mission to learn some of the hidden treasures of Catholicism, enhancing your everyday spirituality, bringing more peace and joy to your life!

There is no cost or admission or reservations to attend our beautiful Lenten Renewal Series with Ann Kertz Kernion.
