Lavender Book Club: An LGBTQ Book Discussion Group
Thursday, February 23, 2017 7:30 PM–9:00 PM Main (Oakland)
Join us to discuss contemporary and classic LGBTQ fiction and nonfiction. More information can be found at http://lavenderbook.club/.

Discussions are free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. We usually have copies of the current month’s book available for you to check out at the Ask a Librarian desk on the First Floor.

Discussions are held in Classroom A on the lower level of the Main Library on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. This book group meets monthly.

February’s book selection is Redefining Realness: My Path to Womanhood, Identity, Love & So Much More by Janet Mock — Janet Mock honestly and eloquently tells her story of growing up poor, multiracial and trans in America. She courageously inspires others to live on their own terms, not the ones society has defined for them.
