PA Fish & Boat Commission’s PA Basic Boating Course
This PA Fish & Boat Commission’s PA Basic Boating Course was developed to supply boaters with practical information so they can make better informed decisions on the water. Instructors provide students with information to help them reduce the risk of injury and conflict on the water. Location: Unionville Fire Hall 102 Mahood Road Butler, PA 16001 Reservations are required, call Moraine State Park office to register 724 368-8811 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Ages 11 and up, under 18 must be accompanied by adult. Register early, deadline Feb. 10 for registrations. The course is free. Boating Safety Education Certificates are required for all operators of personal watercraft, regardless of age, and for boat operators born after January 1, 1982 that operate motorboats of more than 25 horsepower. Students who successfully complete this course may apply for a Boating Safety Education Certificate issued by the Commission and good for a lifetime.
